Chapter 5. VIEWING DATABASE STATISTICS
Viewing Library Statistics
You can view statistics related to the number of items associated with all libraries defined in your system.
To view Library statistics:

On
the Locations Collections - Libraries screen (see
Locations Collections for details), click the Stats
button.
- The Library Stats screen displays in an additional browser window. The date on which the statistics report was requested is shown at the top of the screen.
- The Library Stats screen provides the following information for each
library:
- Seq - the display sequence for the library
- Label - the name of the library
- Status - indicates whether or not the associated library is currently Active or Inactive
- Items with Cost - shows the total number of items held by the associated library for which a Cost is specified in the item record.
- Value - shows the total dollar value of all Items with Cost held by the associated library (based on the value specified in the Cost field of the item record).
- Items with no Cost - shows the total number of items held by the associated library for which no Cost is specified in the item record.
- Default Value - the total dollar value of all Items with no Cost associated with the material type (based on the default cost specified for the material type) (see the Circulation Administration User Guide for details).
- Total Value – the sum of the total dollar value of all Items with Cost and the total dollar value of all Items with no Cost for the associated material type.
- A grand Total for all libraries in your system is shown at the bottom of the list.
- To view statistics for items added to all locations during a
specified period:
- Enter the starting date and ending date for the period for which you wish to view statistics in the Start Date and End Date text boxes. Enter the Start Date and End Date using the format “MM/DD/YYYY”, including slashes.
- Click the Submit button. The screen refreshes to display statistics for the specified period.
- If desired, you may:
- Print a copy of the Library statistics report (see Printing Statistics for details)
- Save a copy of the Library statistics report to your local workstation (see Saving Statistics for details)
- Email a copy of the Library statistics report to yourself or to another party (see Emailing Statistics for details)
- Click the Close button to close the Library Stats screen and return to the Locations Collections - Libraries screen.
