PAC ADMINISTRATION
Chapter 3. DISPLAY PROFILES
Display Profiles - Overview
PAC Administration incorporates several functions that let you control the content and features available on the various search results screens (Continuous Brief Browse (CBB) list and Full record Display).
The Full Record Display Profile function determines the content of Full Record Displays. This option lets you select the specific MARC tags and subfields that will be shown in the Full Record Display, set the display label for each tag and determine the order in which the selected tags are displayed. Full Record Display Profiles are configured independently for each material format. Brief Record Display Profiles are configured through UX Administration (see the UX Administration User Guide for details).
The optional Record Display Hotlinks function lets you specify the MARC tags that will serve as hotlinks in the Full Record Display for MARC records retrieved from any bibliographic database (Union Catalog, Z39.50 database, etc.).
You may also enable and configure Lists functionality to be available through Continuous Brief Browse (CBB) lists and Full Record Displays.
This chapter provides the procedures to:
- Select search indexes for your library
- Configure Full Record Display profiles
- Configure and manage hotlinks
- Modify your library profile
- Manage the Lists feature
NOTE: Display Profile functions are available to PAC Staff and Library SuperUsers only.
